In the Sonic franchise, Amy Rose is a pink hedgehog who is Sonic’s self-proclaimed girlfriend and an energetic tomboy. She is portrayed as driven and competitive, spending much of her time following Sonic to get his attention or make sure he is safe while demonstrating her affection. Not possessing the speed or strength of the other characters, she uses a hammer to defend herself instead. Sonic fans have expressed a lot of desire to see Amy introduced within the live-action Sonic movie franchise, especially since Sonic 3 is reported to take inspiration from Sonic Adventure 2 for its story, and Amy played a crucial part in Shadow’s redemption within that game. With 5 months to go until the film’s release and most of the film’s story being kept heavily under wraps, people have been debating whether or not Amy will even be in the movie at all due to a lack of confirmation.
