PDF is not exactly the most confinient format to reed in if you are reading from the screen, especially from mobile devices.

If offered convinient and relable ways to convert PDFs to responsive modern webpages, will scollars pay for such service out of pocket?

Hence the edit. that's it Elon ruined math for me!

The "PDF reflow" feature in adobe acrobat (android at least) kind-of solve that problem on mobile already. Only nit is sorta bad processing for figures and captions, and tables.

I do not find that a striking problem on desktop.
