When I went to the first Manifest, I met a Cleric in the form of a Universal Unitarian priest, a Barbarian in the form of someone who beat me at finger jousting and had high pain tolerance, and a Wizard in the form of Eliezer Yudkowksy.

This year I will be attending all three of LO, SC, and Manifest and we'll see how many fantasy archetypes I run into this time! I will not trade in this market, so as to remain unbiased. Ideally these should be people I do not already know well, although I can have interacted with them before. Manipulation in the form of introducing me to interesting people is encouraged!

What the... who were the warlock, illrigger, and lich?

Kinda forgot this but some of these were fulfilled I think. Will consider.

@Joshua for "barbarian" i think @BionicD0LPH1N demonstrated high pain tolerance but i'm not sure they demonstrated any anger issues

Some clarifying questions:

  • What is an ominous higher power? Does any major corporation, religious organisation, or government count? Is any employee a representative?

  • Is it even possible to care more about animals than animal-focused EAs? Is there a real life example that would count?

These are meant to be vibes based so I will not do too much clarifying, but I'll say I think you are envisioning too low a bar in the first case and too high a bar in the second case.
