Resolution criteria
- Resolves YES if, by February 31, 2026, the FBI publicly confirms that any portion of its “up to $100,000” reward in the Charlie Kirk homicide investigation was paid to Matt Robinson (Tyler Robinson’s father). Acceptable evidence: an FBI press release/statement, DOJ court filing, or on‑the‑record confirmation reported by two independent reputable outlets citing named officials or official documents. Partial/split payments count if the father is explicitly identified as a recipient. Private or non‑FBI rewards do not count. If no such public confirmation by the deadline, resolves NO. (fbi.gov)
Background
- The FBI offered “up to $100,000” for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person(s) responsible for Charlie Kirk’s September 10, 2025 killing at Utah Valley University. (fbi.gov)
- Suspect Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody on September 12, 2025 after a tip from a family member; Reuters reported President Trump said the suspect’s father turned him in, while other reports reference a family member more generally. (reuters.com)
Considerations
- FBI rewards are discretionary (“up to” amounts) and may be split; adjudication and payment can take months, and recipients are not always publicly identified—hence the requirement for public confirmation above. Only the FBI’s reward for this case counts toward resolution. (fbi.gov)
