Background
Donald Trump has five children who could potentially run for the presidency in 2028:
Donald Trump Jr. (born 1977): Has been active in politics and is popular among the MAGA base. He has been mentioned as a potential candidate for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination, though he has dismissed such claims without completely ruling out a run.
Ivanka Trump (born 1981): Served as a senior adviser during her father's first term but stated in 2022 that she no longer planned to be involved in politics.
Eric Trump (born 1984): Has been involved in his father's political endeavors but has not been specifically mentioned as considering a presidential run.
Tiffany Trump (born 1993): Has maintained a lower political profile compared to her siblings.
Barron Trump (born 2006): Would be 22 years old in 2028, which is below the constitutional age requirement of 35 to serve as president.
Resolution Criteria
This market will resolve as YES if any of Donald Trump's children (Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, or Barron) formally announces a campaign for the 2028 U.S. presidential election or files the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to become a candidate.
The market will resolve as NO if none of Trump's children announce a presidential campaign or file candidacy paperwork for the 2028 election by the final filing deadline for major party candidates.
Considerations
Exploratory committees or statements of interest that fall short of a formal announcement will not be sufficient for a YES resolution.
If any of Trump's children run for other political offices (Senate, House, Governor, etc.) but none run for the presidency, the market will still resolve as NO.
In-laws (such as Jared Kushner or Lara Trump) are not considered Trump's children for the purpose of this market.
